New York, 20 September 2022 – On the occasion of 纽约气候周 held alongside the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), WBCSD convened a multistakeholder dialogue on Corporate 气候 Accountability in order to refine the concept of a common, harmonized and global framework for climate accountability.
As a follow-up to the work we initiated at 斯德哥尔摩+ 50 in June 2022, we’re now launching the Stockholm Synthesis Report, which synthesizes the views of companies and international organizations on how to transform six key global value chains.
- 流动性
- 电子产品
- Built Environment
- Fashion and Textiles
- 食物 and 农业
- Travel and Tourism
WBCSD partnered with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the 斯德哥尔摩+ 50 Secretariat, to mobilize companies, their coalitions and partnerships and other stakeholders, involved in the above value chains.
The synthesis report released today serves as the evidence base for the Stockholm Action Agenda: Transforming Global Value Chains which was released during 斯德哥尔摩+ 50. WBCSD, in close collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), called for enhanced collaboration between the public and private sector to explore the potential for a new global corporate accountability and transparency mechanism.
